This afternoon, Joshua met with the McMaster Students Union (MSU) Executive Board as part of a series of community relations meetings on the topic of student wellness and mental health in the Greater Hamilton Area.
The MSU President, all Vice-Presidents, and Joshua engaged in discussions around student health and wellness, MSU federal and provincial advocacy objectives, mental health supports on and off campus, campus education and awareness of resources, and the implementation and MSU support for a Student Nightline at McMaster University.
Joshua welcomes the continued commitment from the new MSU Executive Board and VP Education on acting fast for mental health and wellness to support all students.
Future meetings will be planned between Joshua and the MSU President and/or Vice-Presidents for input to the MSU on topics of mental health and wellness throughout the year.
