Statement on Ontario Budget 2025

17 May 2025

Earlier this week the Government of Ontario under Premier Hon. Doug Ford unveiled Budget 2025: A Plan to Protect Ontario.

Within this budget is an additional investment of $303 million over the next three years for community mental health and addictions agencies - a funding increase of about 4% for our mental health and addictions healthcare sector. This is an investment that shows that the Ontario government is listening to the concerns of the mental health sector and advocates and is one small step closer to a fully funded mental health and addictions healthcare sector.

While a small step closer, there is still lots more work to do to ensure that every single person within Ontario has access to care, resources, and the mental health care that they deserve.
